have to say it's a fun challenge trying to find Asian-oriented topics to write about. I did a search on the term "Asian Fashion," and discovered numerous links on what it means to be fashionable in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong! They call it "mainstream Asian fashion" and you can find clothing created by known Asian designers at YesStyle.com. I always thought the style of clothing in Asia was a bit fashion forward and ahead of what we would normally see at Macy's or Nordstroms. I remember taking a trip to Taiwan to visit family back when I was in high school, around 1988, and purchased a funky black prom dress with swooping sleeves and tiny rhinestones embellishing the front of the garment. It was different alright. Wish I had a photo to upload to this blog to prove how strange fashion can be.
